Trading as Aged Wellness Australia
1. Introduction
Aged Wellness Australia is a registered business name and operating brand of Bellisami Co Pty Ltd (ABN 67 643 386 387), an Australian proprietary limited company. This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to Aged Wellness Australia and the website agedwellnessaustralia.com.au. References in this policy to "we", "us", "our", or "AWA" refer to Bellisami Co Pty Ltd in its operation of the Aged Wellness Australia business.
AWA is a senior wellness content platform that connects Australians aged 60 and over with information, products, and services to help them live well, move freely, and age confidently. We are committed to protecting the privacy of every visitor to our website and every person who provides their personal information through our enquiry forms or newsletter sign-ups.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), and the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Statutory Application and Scope
Under the 2026 Australian regulatory framework, Bellisami Co Pty Ltd, in its operation of Aged Wellness Australia, is a regulated APP entity. This status applies because we collect health-related personal information from senior Australians, we engage in digital marketing using cookies and tracking pixels, and we facilitate the disclosure of personal information to a third-party therapy provider as part of our referral business model.
This policy applies to all interactions with the Aged Wellness Australia website, our enquiry forms, our email newsletter subscribers, and any data we collect or hold about visitors and enquirers. It does not apply to other businesses or activities of Bellisami Co Pty Ltd, which are governed by separate privacy notices where applicable.
3. The Kinds of Personal Information We Collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. We do not collect personal information that we do not need.
3.1 Information Collected Through Enquiry Forms
When you submit an enquiry through our website, particularly the Cycloid Vibration Therapy demonstration request form, we collect the following:
- Full name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Suburb and state of residence
- Information you choose to provide about your health concerns or interest in joint pain, mobility, or related wellness matters
This information is necessary to allow us, and where applicable our therapy provider partner, to contact you about your enquiry and arrange any in-home demonstration you have requested.
3.2 Information Collected Through Newsletter Subscriptions
When you subscribe to our email newsletter or download a free resource such as an eBook, we collect:
- First name (optional)
- Email address
This information is collected and managed via our email marketing platform, Systeme.io, which is bound by its own data processing terms and privacy practices.
3.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically collect certain technical information. This includes:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type and version, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring website
- Anonymous identifiers used by Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and the Meta Pixel for advertising attribution and audience analysis
This automatic data collection is performed via cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies. You may control or disable these technologies through your browser settings, although this may affect the functionality of our website.
3.4 Sensitive Information
We do not actively solicit sensitive information as defined under section 6(1) of the Privacy Act. However, when you submit an enquiry about joint pain or other health concerns, the information you choose to share may include health information. We treat any such information you voluntarily disclose as sensitive and apply heightened security and consent standards to its handling.
4. How We Collect Information
We collect personal information by lawful and fair means, and only in ways you would reasonably expect. Collection occurs at the following points:
- When you complete and submit an enquiry form on agedwellnessaustralia.com.au
- When you subscribe to our email newsletter or download a free guide
- When you communicate with us by email or other channels
- Automatically when you browse our website (technical and analytics data)
We do not purchase personal information from third-party data brokers, and we do not engage in automated scraping of social media profiles or other platforms.
5. Standard of Informed Consent
Where we collect personal information through our enquiry or subscription forms, you provide your consent by submitting the form. We use clear, plain language to explain how your information will be used, including any disclosure to third parties such as our referral therapy provider.
Your consent is voluntary, informed, current, specific, and unambiguous. We do not bundle consents. For example, consenting to a Cycloid Vibration Therapy demonstration referral does not require you to also consent to receiving marketing communications from us, and vice versa.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal retention requirements. Instructions for withdrawing consent are provided in Section 12 of this policy.
6. Purposes of Use and Disclosure
6.1 Primary Purposes
We use your personal information for the primary purpose for which it was collected. The primary purposes for which we collect, use, and disclose personal information are:
- To respond to your enquiry, including arranging an in-home Cycloid Vibration Therapy demonstration where you have requested one
- To facilitate the referral of qualified leads to our therapy provider partner for the purpose of arranging a demonstration
- To deliver email newsletters and free resources you have subscribed to
- To improve our website, content, and services through analytics and audience research
- To comply with our legal obligations, including those under the Privacy Act and the Spam Act
6.2 Secondary Purposes
We will only use your information for a secondary purpose, such as broader marketing, where you have provided express consent or where you would reasonably expect such use under the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Third-Party Disclosures
7.1 Cycloid Vibration Therapy Referral Disclosure
IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE
When you submit an enquiry requesting a Cycloid Vibration Therapy demonstration, your contact details and the information you provide are shared with Niagara Medical Therapy, the Cycloid Vibration Therapy provider with whom we have a formal referral arrangement. This sharing is necessary so that they can contact you directly to arrange your demonstration.
By submitting the demonstration enquiry form, you consent to this disclosure.
We may receive a commission on any sale resulting from a successful referral. This commercial relationship is disclosed transparently on our website and does not influence the information or recommendations we provide.
Niagara Medical Therapy is an independent Australian business and operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their privacy practices directly if you wish to understand how they handle personal information once it is shared with them.
7.2 Service Providers
We use the following third-party service providers to operate our website and deliver our services. Each of these providers handles personal information under its own privacy policy and is contractually bound to protect your information:
- Systeme.io (email marketing and lead capture)
- Netlify (website hosting)
- Google (Google Analytics 4 for website analytics)
- Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel for advertising attribution)
- Cloudflare (bot protection and form security via Turnstile)
- Amazon (Amazon Associates affiliate program for product recommendations)
7.3 Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on our website are affiliate links, particularly through the Amazon Associates program. If you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Clicking an affiliate link does not transmit your personal information from our website to the third-party retailer; the third party collects its own data once you arrive on their site, governed by their own privacy policy.
8. Direct Marketing and the Spam Act
We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We will only send you marketing communications, including our email newsletter, if you have provided express consent or if you have an existing relationship with us and would reasonably expect to receive the communication.
Every electronic marketing message we send includes a clear and functional unsubscribe link. We will honour opt-out requests within five business days of receipt. Once you have unsubscribed, you will not receive further marketing communications from us, although you may continue to receive transactional or service-related communications where you have an open enquiry with us.
9. Cross-Border Disclosures
Some of the service providers we use, including Systeme.io, Google, Meta Platforms, Cloudflare, Netlify, and Amazon, are located outside Australia, primarily in the United States and the European Union. When you submit information through our website, your data may be processed or stored in these jurisdictions.
Section 16C Accountability Notice: Under Australian Privacy Principle 8.1, we take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients of your personal information comply with the Australian Privacy Principles. However, where you provide informed consent to an overseas disclosure (for example, by submitting a form on our website with knowledge of these third-party services), you acknowledge that we will not be accountable under the Privacy Act for the acts or practices of those overseas recipients, and you may not be able to seek redress under the Australian Privacy Act for any breach by those recipients.
10. Automated Decision Making and Tracking Technologies
We use automated tools and tracking technologies on our website. These include:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for understanding how visitors use our website
- Meta Pixel for measuring the effectiveness of any Meta-platform advertising and building audience insights
- Cloudflare Turnstile for protecting our forms from automated bot submissions
- Systeme.io for delivering automated email sequences based on the actions you take (such as downloading an eBook or submitting an enquiry)
None of these automated processes make decisions that significantly affect your legal rights or interests. They are used for analytics, security, and the delivery of communications you have requested.
You can manage cookie and tracking preferences through your browser settings, and you can opt out of GA4 tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Disabling these technologies may affect the functionality of our website but will not prevent you from accessing our content.
11. Data Security
We implement a Privacy by Design framework, including both technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we hold and the risks of unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
Technical Measures
- TLS or SSL encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our website
- Encryption at rest for personal information held in our service provider systems
- Cloudflare bot protection on all enquiry forms
- Secure authentication for all administrative access to our website and email systems
Organisational Measures
- Access to personal information is limited to those with a legitimate business need
- Regular review of access permissions and security configurations
- Use of reputable, security-audited third-party providers
- Prompt notification of any data breach in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme
While we take all reasonable steps required by law and good practice, no system can guarantee absolute security. Our liability for security incidents is governed by the Privacy Act, the Australian Consumer Law, and our duty under APP 11.
12. Your Rights
12.1 Access and Correction
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request correction of any information that is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. We will respond to your request within 30 days. We may require you to verify your identity before processing your request, particularly where the request involves sensitive information.
12.2 Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time by:
- Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send
- Emailing us at the address in Section 14 to request removal from our database
- Adjusting your browser cookie settings to disable tracking technologies
12.3 Statutory Tort for Serious Invasion of Privacy
Since June 2025, individuals in Australia have a direct right to bring proceedings in the Federal Court for serious invasions of privacy, including the misuse of private information where a reasonable expectation of privacy exists. This right operates independently of, and in addition to, the complaints process described in Section 14.
13. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this policy or as required by law.
- Enquiry data is retained for up to 7 years to allow us to respond to follow-up queries and to meet record-keeping obligations under Australian tax and consumer protection law
- Newsletter subscriber data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a reasonable period after unsubscribing for record-keeping and to honour your unsubscribe preference
- Website analytics data is typically retained for 14 months under default GA4 settings, after which it is automatically anonymised or deleted
When personal information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it in accordance with APP 11.2.
14. Complaints and Contact
If you have a question about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise any of your rights, or believe your privacy has been breached, please contact us first. We take all complaints seriously and will respond promptly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au, or, where relevant to consumer protection matters, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission at www.accc.gov.au.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. The most current version will always be available on our website at agedwellnessaustralia.com.au, with the version number and last reviewed date shown at the top of the document.
For material changes, including any new uses of sensitive information or new categories of third-party disclosure, we will provide reasonable notice (at least 30 days) via our website and, where appropriate, by email to subscribers before the changes take effect.
